Parks & Recreation

There are 2 parks located in Trent Woods that are maintained by the Town.  No reservations are needed to use the park or the pavilions.  Please remember to clean up, and you must be inclusive to everyone at the park if you are having a party.  

Meadows Park sign Meadows Family Park is located at 600 Country Club Drive, and is open from Sunrise to Sunset.
 A pavilion with restrooms, a gazebo and picnic tables are available.  
 Meadows Park has a fenced in play area with colorful updated               playground equipment and Poured-in-Place playground safety       surfacing.
 The dog park is available to bring your best friend.              

Meadows Dog Park is located adjacent to Meadows Play Park. There are no restrictions as to who is allowed in. Of course, it is expected that the park be used for dogs only. It is preferred, that children under 10 years of age are not allowed unless under the supervision of an adult. 

Cottle Park
is located at 608 River Road in Trent Woods, and is open from Sunrise until 9:00pm.
A pavilion with restrooms and picnic tables is available. 
A fenced in play area with colorful updated playground equipment and Poured-in-Place safety                              surfacing. 
The paved walking track is measured at 1 lap equals 3/10 of a mile.
Cottle Park also has 2 pickle ball courts available on a first come basis.  Be mindful of others waiting to use the courts.
There is also a large field to play croquet, fly a kite, or just toss a football around.
For the safety of our guests, Cottle Park will be closed for 3-4 hours one morning mid-week for grounds maintenance.

Restrooms will be locked during severe weather events, and outside drinking fountains will be turned off during November and turned back on in mid-March depending on the freezing temperature.

Both parks are maintained by the Town's Maintenance Supervisor Mike Haber and Maintenance Assistant Rich Schreiber.  You may contact Mike Haber at the Town Hall's general phone number, 252-637-9810 or maintenance@trentwoodsnc.org between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00pm.  After hours, please contact the police department at 252-637-3030.
